Blue.
Art : Blue.

I look up and see shattered glass; I open my mouth and chew on the shards, my mouth going bloody red. I smile and say thank you. I look at her and see blue in her eyes; they are pretty. What a lucky man I am! Her smile can kill the confidence of any man; she opens her mouth, and I see precious pearls, white. I smile and say thank you. I close my eyes, and the monsters appear. I squirm, but there is no one there to help me, so I have to do it myself. I must get out of this, and the only way out is to open my eyes, but I can’t. So this is what I’ll keep seeing: black. I smile and say thank you. I go outside and see green; it smells nice. No one ever told me the world could be this lively. I walk, and the morning dew irritates my bare feet. I raise my left leg and shake the dew off, then go back inside. It’s the story of my life; every morning I go out, that is what I see: green. I smile and say thank you. She walks by me, and I raise my head to see where the beautiful scent comes from. I think it was lavender; she smiles back. I admire her as she walks away. Now, every time I see her, all I smell is lavender: purple. I smile and say thank you. I can’t understand her. One day she tells me one thing, and the next, another. I am confused, but I love her no matter what. We argue, but we make up, and it is always sweet. I see every color under the sun when it’s time, and she does too. We fight, we love, but it is always death till we part. We live by that; we die by that. I smile and say thank you.
