Apples to oranges they say, what about pines? Why do they not include pines.
Comparing yourself to your past self is the only way to go. Comparing yourself to what you see outside of yourself is rather “toxic” to you because only you know who you are, only you can tell what you were yesterday. Apples to pines and not oranges.
